Next Generation Ministries is recruiting part-time and full-time paid interns and staff for our summer camp programs at Spring Garden Academy. We run a nine-week summer camp program with children in PreK-8th grades. Interns will work directly with children and youth in a variety of activities (sports, arts, service, enrichment, etc.) to build youth leadership and ministry skills and implement a strong social-emotional curriculum designed to meet the needs of our children and youth. Interns will also experience the workings of a small non-profit, faith-based organization.
The ideal candidate will be a college/grad student who desires to work and learn more about at-risk children in an urban setting and values a commitment to leadership development. A major in education, child development, youth programming, leadership, or children’s/youth ministry is a plus although this internship is open to other majors. The candidate should learn quickly, be open to team-based and collaborative work styles, demonstrate an interest in social/emotional learning and development, and have an interest in applying trauma research to the day-to-day work. The candidate should already have a minimum of 1200 hours working with children or youth (ages 18 and under) in a paid or volunteer position.
This position can also be structured as an internship for college students.

Next Generation Ministries is hiring a full-time Marketing and Outreach Intern. The position involves social media management, graphic design, event coordination, and community outreach.
Duties will include, designing and distributing marketing materials, website management, social media management, connecting with local schools and childcare centers to build program enrollment, managing event logistics and planning (internal and external), attending community events for enrollment purposes, and writing copy for newsletter and marketing materials. Other responsibilities may involve administration assistance, video editing, photography, and/or grant writing skills are a plus.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, professional etiquette, and must be people friendly. A desire to impact at-risk communities through faith-based initiatives and education is preferred. The candidate will also experience the workings of a small non-profit and daily life in a city school and mission.
Next Generation is seeking a candidate that has a minimum of 2-3 years non profit or school administrative experience. Individual should be professional, courteous and has a desire to work in a private, Christian school. Organized, detail-oriented and strong data entry skills are required. Part-time and Full-time positions available. Some job responsibilities include:
Serves as a receptionist for school students, parents and visitors
Processes a variety of student and school administrative information and data
Contacts parents regarding student absences or illness at school
Maintains student files
Assists with student’s enrollments, transfers and withdrawals as required
Family Night assistants will help with serving food, greeting families, set-up, and clean-up. If any volunteers have special skills (arts and crafts, dance, vocal, sports) we invite you to assist with creating activities for the children or lead a family program. Family Nights are held on Thursdays and Fridays.

Next Generation Ministries (NGM) is in need of an In-kind Donations Coordinator to dedicate a few hours a week to fundraising and soliciting in-kind donations for our school, youth center, and organization. Recently, we launched a campaign to acquire used, new, or refurbished laptops and other technological devices. As a fundraising volunteer, you will be charged with the responsibility of advancing our campaign. With your help, we will be able to get the resources needed to improve and expand the services provided through our organization. The need for smaller in-kind donations may come up on a week-by-week basis.
