Youth Leadership Intern
Next Generation Ministries is recruiting part-time and full-time paid interns for our school, Spring Garden Academy (PreK-8th grades), and our Youth Leadership Center (7th-12th grades). Interns will work directly with children and youth in a variety of activities (sports, arts, service, enrichment, etc.) to build youth leadership and ministry skills and implement a strong social-emotional curriculum designed to meet the needs of trauma-impacted children and youth. Interns will also experience the workings of a small non-profit, faith-based organization.
The ideal candidate will be a college/grad student who desires to work and learn more about at-risk children in an urban setting and also values a commitment to leadership development. A major in education, child development, youth programming, leadership, or children’s/youth ministry is a plus although this internship is open to other majors. The candidate should learn quickly, be open to team-based and collaborative work styles, demonstrate an interest in social/emotional learning and development, and have an interest in applying trauma research to the day-to-day work. The candidate must already have a minimum of 1200 hours working with children or youth (ages 18 and under) in a paid or volunteer position.

Web Developer InternÂ
Next Generation Ministries is in search of a part-time web developer to assist our marketing and development team with website construction/management. General duties will include website maintenance and coding. Knowledge of HTML, XML, or other website coding is required. The ideal candidate will be a college student, recent graduate, or grad student with a background in computer/software engineering and/or web design.
Intern duties include:
- Assisting the design team with necessary deliverables,
- Creating production graphics,
- Creating prototypes;
- Managing design portion of summer intern project
- Collaborating with other interns
Education: working towards a degree in any of the following areas:
- Design,
- Media Arts,
- Journalism,
- Graphic Design,
- Web Design
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
- Understanding of UX/UI;
- Experience in digital design, especially tablet and mobile;
- Demonstrated skill with design and/or prototyping;
- Organized and detail oriented;
- Working knowledge / experience with HTML, CSS, and Photoshop Illustrator.

Marketing and Outreach Coordinator (Intern)
Spring Garden Academy, a ministry of Next Generation Ministries, is hiring a full-time Marketing and Outreach Intern. The position involves social media management, graphic design, event coordination, and community outreach. Duties will include, designing and distributing marketing materials, website management, social media management, connecting with local schools and childcare centers to build program enrollment, managing event logistics and planning (internal and external), attending community events for enrollment purposes, and writing copy for newsletter and marketing materials. Other responsibilities may involve administration assistance, video editing, photography, and/or grant writing skills are a plus. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, professional etiquette, and must be people friendly. A desire to impact at-risk communities through faith-based initiatives and education is preferred. The candidate will also experience the workings of a small non-profit and daily life in a city school.
